Is There a Free Version of DeleteMe?

No. DeleteMe has no free plan. Its site offers a free scan that shows where your information appears, but the removals themselves need a paid plan.

If you want to spend nothing, you can do the opt-outs yourself. Our step-by-step guides cover Spokeo, Whitepages and Radaris, and our full removal guide covers the rest. It works, but it takes hours, and listings can come back.

What You Get for the Price

  • Removal requests sent to major data broker sites for you, plus custom removal requests.
  • Quarterly privacy reports showing what was found and removed.
  • New opt-outs added during the year at no extra cost.
  • Unlimited aliases, previous names and email addresses on your profile.
  • Email and phone masking tools.
  • Email, chat and phone support.

Refunds, Renewal and Cancelling

  • Renewal: plans renew automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel.
  • Refunds: according to DeleteMe’s terms, you get a full refund if you cancel before your first privacy report, and a prorated refund for the time left after that.
  • Cancelling: you can cancel by email or phone. New removal requests stop, and brokers can re-add you later.
  • Where it works: the main plans are for US residents.

Is DeleteMe Worth the Cost?

It depends on how much your time is worth. The only independent test we found, by Consumer Reports in 2024, saw DeleteMe remove 27% of profiles after four months, while people who opted out by hand removed 70%. So doing it yourself can work better, if you have the time and patience to repeat it.

DeleteMe makes the most sense if you want the work done for you and checked every quarter, or if you are covering a family: the 2-year family plan is about $5 a month per person. Read our full DeleteMe review for the pros and cons, or compare it in Incogni vs DeleteMe.
