How We Research
PrimeDigger investigates products and the claims made about them. This page explains how we research, what we do and don’t do, and how we fix mistakes.
The short version
- We check claims against studies, official guidance, court records and labels, and we link our sources.
- We don’t lab-test products, and our articles aren’t written or reviewed by doctors.
- No paid coverage or rankings, and brands never see articles before they are published.
- Found a mistake? Email us and we’ll check it and fix it.

How we research
- We start with the claim. What does the label, the ad or the company actually promise?
- We check it against evidence. Peer-reviewed studies, guidance from health and safety agencies, court records, company filings, product labels and privacy policies.
- We link our sources so you can check them yourself. Many articles end with a full source list.
- We compare products on the same criteria, for example caffeine per serving, independent lab results, or what data an app collects.
- We say what we don’t know. If the evidence is thin or mixed, we say so.
What we don’t do
- We don’t lab-test products, and unless an article says otherwise, we haven’t used them ourselves. Our verdicts are based on research, not hands-on testing.
- PrimeDigger articles are not written or reviewed by doctors. For health topics, we rely on published research and official guidance, and we link to it.
- We don’t accept payment for coverage or rankings, and brands don’t see articles before they’re published.
Lawsuits and allegations
When we report on lawsuits or investigations, we use court records and reputable news sources. A lawsuit is a claim, not a finding, and we describe it that way. We report the company’s response when one is public.
How we choose products
We look at products people actually search for and buy, then pick the ones that hold up best against the criteria in each article. Affiliate commissions never decide which products we recommend. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Tools we use
We use software tools, including AI tools, to help with research, drafting and fact-checking. Every article is checked against its sources and approved by the founder before it’s published.
Corrections and updates
If you find an error, email contact@primedigger.com with the article link and what’s wrong. We check every report. When we confirm a mistake, we fix it, and for important corrections we add a short note to the article. We also update articles when new research, recalls or court decisions change the picture.
